I wouldn’t have gone to any other school. LJIC students and staff have become a whole other family and I’m thankful for each and every one of them. If you’re looking for a salon to go to, or a place to start your Cosmetology, Massage, or esthetics career, La James in Cedar Falls is the best place to be.

I would recommend everyone to come to LJIC because you get to meet a lot of new people and this field can take you anywhere.
Alexis Lamoreux (Iowa City)
I chose LJIC because it gave me more options to learn different areas rather than just hair only. You learn nails, the spa side of Cosmetology and everything else.
Betty Lipp (Des Moines)
I graduated from the Cosmetology program here. I love the teachers, school & students. I knew I had to do Massage.
Malorie Kleinhesselink (Fort Dodge)
My advice for others who want to be a cosmetologist would be to just be you. Have confidence, courage, and responsibility. You need to take it seriously and have fun. Just follow your dreams.
The LJIC environment [students & staff] has made me feel welcomed. I can be myself without judgment.
Ceola Rosenberger (Davenport)
I immediately enrolled and right after high school, I started. It’s been an amazing experience. If it’s something that you like to do, then do it. Don’t let other people’s opinions steer you away from what you like to do.
Katlyn VanWolvelaere (Davenport)
The opportunities are endless here at LJIC and the tools for success are given to you. You just have to apply them! I love Wednesday and Thursday mornings. We [students & staff] meet to discuss the week ahead and build together as a team.
